Shane Cope, DDS
Dr. Shane Cope graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2006. During dental school, Dr. Cope developed a love of surgery, which led him to complete a three-year periodontal residency. Before that he graduated from Crawfordsville High School in Crawfordsville and went to the University of Indianapolis, where he majored in biology. He is happily married to his wife since 2003, Carlie, and has three beautiful children.
Two of Dr. Cope’s main focuses in dentistry are making you feel comfortable and listening to your questions and concerns while providing solutions leading to your optimal oral health. At home, Dr. Cope loves spending time with his family, being actively involved in his church, and training and competing in triathlons. Dr. Cope is excited to present to you our team of caring and dedicated dental professionals. We will ensure that all your dental and administrative needs are met as efficiently and accurately as possible.
Melinda Bodine, DDS
Dr. Melinda “Mindy” Bodine graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2014. Prior to dental school, she graduated from Western Boone High School and earned her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary science with a chemistry concentration from Purdue University. Dr. Bodine’s favorite aspect of dentistry is getting to know her patients and working with them to achieve excellent oral health.
She is married to Bill, and they love spending time with their son, Bryson. Away from the office, she enjoys swimming, being outdoors, gardening, reading, and playing with their two dogs.

Carrie – Practice Manager
Carrie started working for Highland Creek Family Dental in June 2010. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in 2001. She is currently working as our practice manager, and she loves the one-on-one interaction she has with our wonderful patients. In her free time, Carrie loves spending time with her husband, Adam, and her twin girls, Riley and Taylor. Carrie lives in Lafayette, where she enjoys taking care of her flowers and garden.
Autumn – Business Assistant
Autumn joined Highland Creek Family Dental in January 2017. She has worked in healthcare since graduating from Ivy Tech in 2009. In her free time, she enjoys reading and music, as well as spending time with her husband, Brandon and children, Ty and Sonya.
Pam – Business Assistant
Pam has lived in Lafayette for over 22 years and has been in the dental field since 2006, joining our dental team in 2010. Pam graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in dental assisting. She has enjoyed working in the healthcare field of dentistry and has treasured working one-on-one with each patient. Pam has a positive attitude and enjoys helping others with care. She has a wonderful husband and three awesome children. Pam’s interests include spending time with her family outdoors and having movie nights with them.
Erica – Business Assistant
Erica joined Highland Creek Family Dental in April 2011. She schedules appointments and works to keep the office running efficiently. Erica helps in filing your insurance claims and making financial arrangements. She enjoys helping patients with all of their dental needs. When Erica is not working she loves being outdoors and spending time with her children Logan, Alexa and Porter.
Diane joined Highland Creek Family Dental in September 2015. Diane has been in the dental field since 2013. Diane loves being a part of a dental team who help patients feel better about their smile. When not at work Diane enjoys spending time with her family. She has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. She also enjoys riding with her husband Rick, on their Harley and bowling on a league together.
Leslie – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Leslie started at Highland Creek Family Dental in August 2010. She earned her dental assisting certificate at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2005. Leslie continued her education by attending the Indiana School of Dentistry to obtain her expanded functions certificate, and she graduated with an associate degree in office administration in 2009. She enjoys interacting with our patients and helping them to feel at ease during their visit. Leslie is married to Aaron and has two sons, Mason and Hayden. Away from the office, she enjoys scrapbooking, shopping, and being with family and friends.
Jessica M.-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Jessica earned her Expanded Duties Dental Assisting degree in December of 2009 at International Business College in Indianapolis. She joined the Highland Creek team in January of 2015. Jessica’s passion is working with patients and making them feel great about their smile. Along with helping patients achieve good oral health. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband Chris, son Leo and dog Zoey. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, family game nights, and cruising around on golf carts in her hometown of Earl park.
Brenda-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Brenda joined Highland Creek Family Dental in October 2016. After graduating from Jefferson High School, Brenda attended to Ivy Tech Community College to receive her Expanded Function Dental Assistant certificate. Brenda has been in the dental field since 2014. She enjoys helping patients feel better about their dental care, by providing a calm atmosphere. Brenda’s favorite part of her job is giving someone confidence in their smile. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and exercising.
Danielle-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Danielle joined Highland Creek Family Dental in March 2016. She earned her Certified Dental Assistant Degree in 2006 from Ivy Tech Community College. Danielle continued her education by obtaining her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Certificate in 2008. Higher education was always important to Danielle and she achieved her goal of graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in the spring of 2010. Danielle has a passion for educating patients on their dental needs and making them feel like a part of the dental family. Her favorite aspect of her job is to see people smile! Danielle has lived in Lafayette her whole life and is proud of her Hoosier roots. In her free time Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When not at work you will often find Danielle spending time at the local dog park with her dog Jax. Danielle also enjoys reading, walking, music and gardening.
Elizabeth – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Elizabeth started working at Highland Creek Family Dental in December of 2015. She is a 2015 graduate of Ivy Tech Community college where she earned her certification in Dental Assisting as well as coronal polishing and fluoride application. After graduating she furthered her education with additional training in expanded duties. Elizabeth has always been interested in the dental profession and loves making patients feel comfortable with their smile. She enjoys helping patients and makes sure they are given the best care possible. In her spare time she likes being outdoors and also spending time with her friends and family.
Sara – Dental Hygienist
Sara started working with our team at Highland Creek Family Dental in May 2010. She graduated as an expanded function dental assistant in 1999, and she continued her education to graduate in dental hygiene in 2005. Sara’s favorite part of working at our Lafayette dental office is that we have such a great dental family, and she works hard to help our patients feel comfortable. She is married to Andrew, and they have two children and two dogs. Sara enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and crafts in her spare time.
Karen – Dental Hygienist
Karen joined Highland Creek Family Dental in May 2015. She received her degree in dental hygiene in 2012. Karen enjoys helping patients have a pleasant experience at each dental visit and educating patients on oral health. Her number one goal is to ensure each patient receives the best dental care in the most comfortable manner. Karen is married to Ray, and they have three children. Outside of work Karen enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Mya – Dental Hygienist
Mya joined Highland Creek Family Dental in April 2014. She is a graduate of Indiana Univeristy School of Dentistry. She loves her career and has known she has wanted to be a dental hygienist from a very young age. Mya has a positive attitude and is a great team player. She enjoys tending to her patients specific dental needs; offering education and tips to help improve their oral health. In her free time Mya enjoys playing basketball and volleyball. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family.
Naomi – Dental Hygienist
Naomi graduated from IU School of Dentistry with her dental hygiene degree in May 2016. She joined Highland Creek Family Dental in July 2016. Naomi enjoys giving personalized care to each patient and meeting their individual needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She also loves playing with their dog Daisy, exercising and doing outdoor activities.
Stephanie – Dental Hygienist
Stephanie grew up in a small town in northern Indiana. She moved to Indianapolis and graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 2005. After graduation, Stephanie traveled and lived abroad before returning to Indianapolis where she worked as a Dental Hygienist for 11 years. She moved to Lafayette in 2015 and is very excited to join the team at Highland Creek Family Dentistry.
Stephanie has always had a passion for service in healthcare. Her favorite part of working in a dental office is providing a level of comfort and understanding to each individual patient. She enjoys helping patients improve their oral health through patient education and effective periodontal treatment. In her spare time,Stephanie enjoys teaching yoga, spending time outdoors and cherishes the time she has with her family, especially her two rambunctious nephews.
